Nouveau a la group
My French is not very good. I hope everyone will forgive me.
My name is Craig Cowing and I live in New York State (not the city). I am 48 and am the pastor of a small protestant church in a small town. I have a cello that belonged to my grandfather. It has been in my family for over a century. It was made by Jérôme THIBOUVILLE-LAMY in Mirecourt with the trademark name "Mi Fin." It dates from around 1895. I'd be happy to hear from anyone in the group!
Merci!
Craig Cowing

Hello from Ottawa Canada !
Hi everone !
I had to stop in after reading about your forum on the Internet Cello Society website.
I am an adult beginner (a law clerk by day), and am looking forward to getting to know you all.
Cheers !
Michele

quite easy in fact, provided of course you can afford to fly frequently - we are celebrating Pierre Fournier's 100th anniversary on the 12th of dec. : come over !Michele Pedlar a écrit :and am looking forward to getting to know you all.

Gracious Goodness,
they created an english speaking french cello forum at last! we'd been only waiting for this moment to arrive (black bird flies...)
NOW we can show the vain english-speaking part of ourselves (ok some of you on this forum actually are bilingual)... the forum du violoncelle.com got its place among the great international music forums!!
And welcome everyone!

Le violoncelle, c'est le contraire du loto.
C'est pas facile, c'est cher et ça rapporte rien.
